80s Aerobics video featuring Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’

Taylor Swift’s new album should come with a free membership to some sort of support group because we can’t even.

Looks like the internet can’t even either because between every single buzzfeed quiz and literally every website on the world wide web, everything is coming up Taylor Swift.

And now this. Some life genius has dubbed ‘Shake It Off’ over the original song of this 1980s Aerobics Video and

BEST of SXSW 2014: The Parties

During the month of March, there is actually nothing better than spending your days soaking up the rays with a beer in one hand, a taco in the other, and a great band – or two thousand – providing the soundtrack. Which is why SXSW is the best thing on earth.
Aside from the official night showcases, SXSW also plays hosts to hundreds of day parties. Some of them we were lucky enough to attend. Here are our favourites from SXSW 2014:

American Songwriter’s Billy Reid + Weather Up Austin Shindig
Not ones to disappoint, the folks behind American Songwriter always have one of the best line-ups of any day party at SXSW. This year, the 2-day party held in East Austin featured acts that included Robert Ellis, Jessica Lea Mayfield, St. Paul and the Broken Bones and Kurt Vile. This year’s East Austin location also provided for a nice tranquil place to relax at.

To be honest, we probably wouldn’t have cared if no bands showed up because having a party at the beautiful French Legation is more than enough. Extra bonus that Pitchfork decided to hold their party there. So you know it’s guaranteed good bands. Standout performances included Eagulls, Future Islands, and Fucked Up.

Rachael Ray Feedback House
Rachael Ray’s Feedback House never ever disappoints and it’s one of the parties we love the most and attend religiously. This year, Rachael did one better and booked our favourite band of forever (ok, as of a year ago), Diarrhea Planet, to play. Minds exploded.

Spin at Stubb’s
Another annual tradition, the Spin Magazine party at Stubb’s is another personal favourite. The bands that are booked plus the people who attend lend the party one of the greatest vibe of the festival. The performance put on by Against Me! at the party was probably one of the most punk/badass/memorable performances we saw at SXSW this year. Oh and we’re still trying to get our hearing back from the awesome Orwells set.

Spotify House
Yet another great party with another great line-up (noticing a pattern? good bands = best parties); we were completely blown away by St. Paul and the Broken Bones performance. A SXSW 2014 favourite! Also kudos to the folks at Spotify House for the delicious drinks and snacks and an interactive component that made it that much more entertaining waiting between sets.
