Field Trip Announces 2015 Lineup

You guys! With today’s Field Trip announcement, it feels like Summer is just around the corner! (fingers crossed).

The festival, taking place on June 6 and 7 at the beautiful Fort York and Garrison Commons, has unveiled the following A++ lineup:


In addition to some of the best music, the festival will continue to expand its theme of community and discovery by also exploring some of this city’s finest culinary, art, photography, technology, and fashion.

Tickets on sale February 6. See you there!

CURRENTLY ON REPEAT| Parquet Courts ‘Sunbathing Animal’

Oh god, yes. NPR  just gave us the greatest gift of all; a ‘First Listen’ of Parquet Courts‘ latest album – a week ahead of its June 3rd release.

We’ve only had our hands on this stream for just over a day, but can confidently predict it’ll be an album of the year contender.

It’s not like we currently have a calendar counting down to what will surely be another Coen brothers gem – this time about a struggling 60s musician … – ok, fine, we totally do – 46 more days left!

This lovely Autumn season just keeps on giving! We kinda have to clone ourselves this  Tuesday for two incredible shows, then figure out how to survive them to check out some other goodies the remainder of the week.
Here’s who we are losing our minds over seeing this week!

Why: Because it’s The Growlers OMFG!!!! Plus a whole load of Burger Records bands to ensure you get your money’s worth!

Who: Action Bronson and Danny Brown

Why: LEGENDARY! We’re keeping our fingers crossed that our internet boyfriend Danny Brown will FINALLY be let into Canada. He appears to have all his paperwork in place, but we won’t be able to breathe until he’s 100 percent on Toronto soil. Cue his Twitter refresh now.

Why: Because Hanni’s eclectic tunes that are part blues/garage rock/rock/folk/doo wop/etc will not disappoint. Come check it out. It’s some amazing stuff. We cross our hearts.

Yeah yeah yeah, we’re a little bit obsessed with The Growlers around here. But how can you not be? They make the most epic music around and their live shows leave you feeling seriously euphoric.
The band is releasing their new EP Guilded Pleasures this November, but have already made the album available for purchase to those seeing them on their current tour. They play Toronto October 1. Rest of the tour dates are here.
